Happy National Entrepreneurs’ Day!

Or, rather, potential National Entrepreneurs’ Day. House Resolution 401 would create National Entrepreneurs’ Day on the third Tuesday of November. As the Geeks in Residence, we’ve talked to countless entrepreneurs, and we’re excited that Congress recognizes the importance of entrepreneurship. The initiatives that the Chicago Public Library have taken to support entrepreneurs have garnered awards and praise, and deservedly so. With 70% of young people envisioning starting a new business, the CPL initiatives and resources are vital to achieving those dreams and giving young people the practical know how to start a business. We’re proud to be a part of those efforts. And we’re so glad that Congress realizes how important entrepreneurs are to our economy, our society, and to the legacy of the American Dream. Click here to read H.Res. 401, or here to see the page for National Entrepreneurs’ Day created by the New Democrat Coalition in Congress (Including Illinois members Bill Foster IL-11, Mike Quigley IL-5, and Brad Schneider IL-10). Here’s hoping that next November we can invite you to our National Entrepreneurs’ Day party!
